Designed as a relaxed holiday home for an Auckland couple and their four adult children, This new-build by Shanahan Architects was created for long summer days, cosy winter weekends, cooking, entertaining and spending plenty of time together. We focused on comfort, practicality and a sense of ease rather than anything too precious. We infused a 1970s-inspired feel that sits naturally with the schist exterior and relaxed Wanaka setting. From furniture and lighting to curtains, art, decor, crockery and glassware, we sourced everything needed to make the house feel complete and ready to enjoy.
